Why Breast Reduction

Multiple reasons lead to breast reduction and some of them might be psychological or physical and all the reasons that lead to operation will be considered by the doctors and will receive it is special treatment. Some of these reasons are:

Before Breast reduction surgery

Like all cosmetic procedures, there are some guidelines that should be followed by the patients to ensure the best results after the operation. Here are some guidelines that should be considered

Any medication consumed should be informed to the doctors.
Any chronic illness should be informed to the doctors.
If the patient smoke or drinks alcohol should be stopped before 2 weeks of the operation.
6-7 hours before the operation avoid eating or drinking.
Any allergies from any medical products should be known.
Stop using Aspirin, painkillers, herbal supplements, vitamins, for 1 week before the operation.

During Breast Reduction

After all the examinations are done. The doctors will prepare you for the operation. General anesthesia will be done. The technics used in opining the incision vary depending on the breast size and the amount of sagging. After Breast Reduction procedures

Multiple important activates should be followed after the operation to ensure the best results. And by following the doctor’s guidelines you will notice rapid recovery after the operation. Here are essential guidelines that should be known:

You will be provided with a medical corset/bra you should wear in the times specified by the doctors.
Taking a shower is in times specified by doctors.
The first 2 to 3 weeks avoid any sexual activity.
For a month at least after the operation, do not stretch your arms or lift heavy things,
Do not sleep on your chest for the first 15 days of the operation.
You should take the medications prescribed by the doctors on the regular and specified times.
Heavy sports activities should be avoided in the first month of the operation.
Smoking and alcohol should be avoided.
You will go back to normal life after 2 to 4 weeks of the operation.

Note: There will be some swelling and tangling feelings after the operation and It is a normal outcome and you will be provided with the painkillers and will fade away within the first days after the operation.
